 James Ward is a graduate of University of Washington (MBA), The Johns Hopkins University (MA), and Salem State College (BS). He is a finance professional specializing in the valuation of illiquid assets with over 25 years experience. He lived in Japan for over 10 years. Prior to getting his MBA, he worked as a research scientist at a pharmaceutical start-up. He worked his way through college as a bench chemist for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. He was a member of the Rye Sustainability Committee for 5 years and served as its chair for 4 years. He is a director and co-founder of the Rye Sustainability Foundation, a not-for-profit bringing sustainable projects in Rye to fruition. He enjoys playing, coaching and watching ice hockey. He is also an avid sailor and member of the American Yacht Club. He has lived in Rye since 2011 with his wife and two children who are now in college.
